Children’s Ministry

St Matthew United Methodist Church offers a place where children from kindergarten through fifth grade can discover and develop a passion for God.

Sunday Mornings we offer a Children’s Moment during service. ALL children are invited forward to hear a message just for them – then invited back to one of our classrooms for Story Time. Story Time provides a teaching opportunity and a variety of fun activities. Leadership is provided by a rotation of volunteers who have a passion for children and a desire to help them grow spiritually.

Wednesday Nights, children are invited to Clues Club. Children are exposed to God’s Word and challenged to grow in their relationship with God through a variety of activities and experiences including our Puppet Ministry.  Clues Club includes fun games and tasty refreshments. Clues Club meets regularly (September through May) on Wednesday nights at 6:00 p.m. in Wesley Hall. (The east parking lot entrance provides quick access to the kids area).

Outreach Ministry to Children of Migrant Workers. Each summer volunteers from St. Matthew travel north to the migrant work camps to provide fun games, Bible-based lessons and activities, and refreshments for the children of migrant workers.”
