Worship is how our week gets started. However, we strive to walk each day as a living example of Christ-like people. Facing the many challenges and joys of life together as a community of believers and as disciples of Christ. Supporting each other through love, kindness, and prayer.
How should I dress: Most who attend here dress up a bit, but feel free to dress in what is comfortable to you. Everyone is welcome.
Greetings: Pastor Mark Helm and others will greet you during our Passing of the Peace – a friendly handshake and ‘Peace Be With You” greeting is extended to all.
Sermons are Biblically based sermons and we generally read from the New International Version of the Bible.
Children’s Message during Worship: Children preschool – 5th grade are invited forward as a volunteer shares a Children’s Message each Sunday. Following the Children’s message, children are invited back to a separate room for Story Time (Jr. Church).
Nursery Care: A staff nursery is provided for infants to preschoolers.
Communion is offered on the first Sunday of each month. All Christian believers are welcome to receive communion and it is not necessary to be a member of St. Matthew UMC Church or any United Methodist Church, only the desire to know Jesus and to invite him into your life.
Sunday School provides a time to question and seek more in depth answers about the Bible and issues that face Christians today. Classes for all ages are held in various parts of the building.
We invite you to start your week with worship and we invite you to join us here at St. Matthew every Sunday.
